New Benefit Offering: Work-Related Travel
Beginning July 1, 2008, University Human Resources is offering a new work-related travel benefit for benefit-eligible U.Va. employees.
Through its partnership with U.Va. WorkMed, the University will cover medications and immunizations required for work-related travel abroad. Coverage will also include a professional evaluation to help determine which medications and immunizations are needed for the travel.
To obtain payment through University Human Resources, eligible employees must:
- Complete the Request for Services Form.
- Obtain department approval (by obtaining signature on Request for Services Form).
- Fax completed form to U.Va. WorkMed at 434-243-0078
- Schedule an appointment with U.Va. Traveler’s Clinic at 434-924-1931 (once the form is faxed to WorkMed)
- Present the completed form to Traveler’s Clinic at the time of the appointment and to the UVa Pharmacy to pick up required prescriptions.
To qualify for payment, employees must go to the U.Va. Traveler’s Clinic and U.Va. Pharmacy for appointments and/or prescriptions.
