U.Va. Temps provides cost-effective and qualified temporary personnel in a variety of occupations to U.Va. schools and departments. The U.Va. Temps Team solves staffing challenges that arise from a surge in workload, vacant positions, vacations, or illness.
The majority of temporary assignments require office support skills such as word processing, reception, filing and/or bookkeeping. These skills are validated by using the OPAC skills testing system which ensures we place a temporary employee that meets the job requirements. In addition U.Va. Temps also offers housekeeping and skilled trades assignments, generally for evening, night or weekend shifts. U.Va. Temps may also receive requests for temporary assignments in specialty areas such as health care providers, skilled crafts, laborers, computing, etc.
