Making the Change

University Human Resources is excited to be able to offer increased functionality and access to all of our customers, internal and external. Even when there will be benefits, major change of this kind can be unsettling. There is always a learning curve with change. When Jobs@UVa first launches, we expect there to be small problems and issues to resolve as people adjust. To ease the transition, UHR will offer multiple trainings and staff support.

Departments should also keep in mind that as we transition to the Jobs@UVa system, the Office of Compensation Management (OCM) and Recruitment & Staffing (R&S) will begin to hold your requests to handle position changes and post staff job openings. Staff job postings received between 7/16/07 and 7/29/07 will be held and entered into Jobs@UVA by R&S. These job postings will be among those available to view when the system goes live on July 30, 2007.

If you have questions prior to launch, we encourage you to contact our office. Please email Rod Kelly, Lucinda Childs-White, Donna Kauffman or Pat Daniele at uvajobs@virginia.edu.

Project Timeline

Jobs@UVa has been tested by members of the University community and demos of the system have been done. Hands-on computer training will be offered starting in July and UHR will widely publicize those dates and locations. Click here for a project timeline.
