Careers Be sure there is at least one subject matter expert on the Committee. Reinforce to Committee members and any additional interview participants that references should not be obtained on any candidate without their consent. If the Search Committees lacks diversity, select additional "interview participants" of a diverse background who may contribute "input and perspective" to the process, as advised by EOP. An alternate finalist should be determined before making a job offer. Due to candidate confidentiality, EMSG can provide summaries of finalist's credentials to non-Committee members participating in the interview process rather than sharing the entire resume if desired.
