Hiring Official
  • Determination of job description.
  • Appointment of a Search Committee that is both inclusive and has subject matter expertise.
  • Approval of Strategic Recruitment and Advertising Plan.
  • Approval of all EOP online forms.
  • Charge to Search Committee regarding expectations, time frame and confidentiality.
  • Interview finalists, review Committee recommendations and stakeholder feedback, and determine fit with the position.
  • Negotiate and make final offer.
Search Chair
  • Act as a liaison to Hiring Official.
  • Lead Committee in review of candidate profiles, determination process of semi-finalists, and presentation of finalists to Hiring Official.
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidates and process.
Search Committee
  • Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and assist the Search Chair in creating a credible search process. 
  • Follow guidelines set up by Hiring Official for candidate selection and finalist determination
  • Review and screen candidates, make decisions and produce assessments, according to search criteria.
  • Participate in telephone interviews and on-grounds panel interviews.
  • Make recommendations to Search Chair for finalists that best meet the requirements of the position.
