Stop Smoking Resources and Tools for Quitting
  • Printed material and step by step information to quit smoking
  • Live Help – advice about quitting through real time text messaging with a National Cancer institute smoking cessation counselor.
  • Counseling and information about quitting within the state of Virginia thru an 800 number.
  • Although this program does not provide gum or other stop smoking aids, they do recommend that you see your doctor to get these aids.

Start! – A Walking Program

Start! is the American Heart Association’s groundbreaking national campaign that calls on all Americans to create a culture of physical activity and health to live longer, heart-healthy lives through walking. This physical activity can reduce the risk for heart disease and stroke.

MyStart! Fitness Tool offers physical activity, nutrition and other health information integrated within a single online resource.
